What is your availability?+

I offer flexible availability throughout the week and weekends, with both morning and evening options. If you're keen to learn guitar but worried about scheduling, just get in touch and we'll find a time that works.

How often should I take lessons?+

Most students book weekly or every two weeks. Consistency helps you improve faster, but I offer flexible scheduling so you can learn at your own pace.

How old are your students?+

I teach people of all ages and backgrounds- everyone is welcome!

Do I need any experience or to know music theory?+

Not at all! My lessons are designed for total beginners as well as those picking it up again.

Can I choose the songs I want to learn?+

Definitely! I encourage students to bring in songs they love. That way learning feels motivating and personal to you.

Do I need my own guitar?+

Yes — having your own guitar to practice with at home is essential. If you're not sure what to buy, see the advice below.

I don't have a guitar and would like to get one- any advice?+

Absolutely! I always recommend having your own guitar before starting lessons so you can practice at home. Don't worry — you don't need to spend a fortune. There are plenty of affordable, great-sounding beginner guitars out there.

Check out your local guitar shops, where you can get guidance and have some fun trying out different instruments. Some reliable, budget-friendly names to look out for include Stagg, Fender, Yamaha, Harley Benton, and Cort. You might also find gems on Facebook Marketplace or DoneDeal if you'd like to go second-hand.

Getting your first guitar is always special — I'll never forget mine, and I still have it today! Once you have yours, let me know and we'll schedule your first lesson.

What if I'm left-handed?+

No worries! It really depends on the person. Some left-handed players are perfectly comfortable with a right-handed guitar, while others feel more at home with a left-handed one. The best thing you can do is visit a guitar shop, try both, and see what feels most natural for you.
